Antique Silver Cup with Red Seal Wax Bars

I am not sure the exact metal of this cup. It is silver and I would say sterling. It has the most beautiful gold on the inside of cup. I have worked to remove the clear wax but do not want to risk scratching to get more off. Cup was purchased together with these Dennisons No. 2 antique wax bars used to seal documents, letters, etc. Was purchased in 1970s along with other items from a large printers desk. I believe they used the cup to hold printing wax of some sort. Cup is in good condition. There is one small area of indentation along bottom.
